Synopsis
You are the new vision mixer at the National Nightly News, thrust behind the control desk on the night a radical populist government seizes power. Your job is deceptively simple: choose which camera feeds air, censor live footage, and keep the broadcast running smoothly. But every editorial decision you make (what to show, what to hide, and whose story to tell) ripples outward, shaping public opinion and the fate of an entire nation over months of escalating political chaos. Not For Broadcast combines real filmed footage with a broadcast-simulator interface, creating an interactive experience where propaganda, truth, and personal morality collide. With multiple endings determined by the cumulative weight of your choices, the game asks how much power a single person behind a camera can really wield, and at what cost.
How the Branching Works
Not For Broadcast features 8 distinct endings. At key decision points the film pauses and presents your options, your choice determines which scene plays next, reshaping alliances, outcomes, and the story's resolution. With 60 minutes of total footage spread across these branches, a single viewing reveals only a fraction of what the film contains. Replay to discover hidden subplots, alternate character arcs, and endings that only unlock when you choose differently.
