Delete your Treezy Play account

This page explains how to delete your account for Treezy Play (com.treezy.play), published by Treezy Technologies Inc., and what happens to your data when you do.

Option 1: delete in the app

The fastest way. The control is in the app on both iOS and Android:

Open Treezy Play and make sure you are signed in.
Tap the profile icon in the bottom navigation bar to open the You screen.
Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.
Confirm when asked. The action is permanent and cannot be undone.

If you are told to sign in again before deleting, that is a security check. Sign out, sign back in, and repeat the steps.

Option 2: ask us by email

If you cannot access the app or you have already uninstalled it, email hello@treezyplay.com from the address on your account with the subject Delete my account. We confirm the request, delete the account, and reply to confirm. We aim to complete this within 30 days of verifying that the request came from the account holder.

What gets deleted

Your account and sign in credentials (email, Google, or Apple sign in).
Your profile: display name, avatar, and email address.
Your viewing activity: story progress, the choices you made, endings you reached, likes, and saved titles.
Device and installation identifiers linked to your account, including push notification tokens.

What we keep, why, and for how long

Billing and transaction records

Tax and accounting law requires us to keep records of purchases. These are held by Apple or Google as the seller, and our copy is limited to the subscription status tied to your purchase.

Retention: Up to 7 years, then deleted.

Anonymized and aggregated analytics

Counts such as how many viewers finished a given ending. These carry no identifier that can be traced back to you.

Retention: Kept indefinitely in aggregate form.

Backups

Deletions propagate to encrypted backups on the next backup cycle rather than instantly.

Retention: Fully purged within 30 days.

Cancel your subscription first

Deleting your Treezy Play account does not cancel a paid subscription, because subscriptions are billed by Apple or Google rather than by us. Cancel it before you delete your account:

iPhone or iPad: Settings, then your name, then Subscriptions, then Treezy Play, then Cancel Subscription.
Android: open the Google Play Store, tap your profile icon, then Payments and subscriptions, then Subscriptions, then Treezy Play, then Cancel subscription.
