Synopsis
Kimmy Schmidt is days away from marrying a cheerfully dim English prince when she finds a backpack suggesting the Reverend, the man who kept her in a bunker for fifteen years, has a second bunker of kidnapped women he never confessed to. The viewer steers Kimmy and her friends through the rescue, from wardrobe choices to life-or-death confrontations, and wrong turns end the story early in spectacular game-over fashion (a robot apocalypse among them) before letting you rewind and choose again. Written by Tina Fey, Robert Carlock, Meredith Scardino, and Sam Means, the special reunites the full series cast, adds Daniel Radcliffe as Prince Frederick, and doubles as the series finale. It earned two Primetime Emmy nominations, including Outstanding Television Movie, and outlasted every Netflix interactive title except Bandersnatch: both were pulled the same day in May 2025, closing the platform's interactive era.
How the Branching Works
Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt: Kimmy vs. the Reverend features 16 distinct endings. At key decision points the film pauses and presents your options, your choice determines which scene plays next, reshaping alliances, outcomes, and the story's resolution. With 80 minutes of total footage spread across these branches, a single viewing reveals only a fraction of what the film contains. Replay to discover hidden subplots, alternate character arcs, and endings that only unlock when you choose differently.

Is Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt: Kimmy vs. the Reverend still available?
No. Netflix shut down its interactive catalog between December 2024 and May 2025, and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt: Kimmy vs. the Reverend left the service in May 2025. It has not been re-released in interactive form anywhere else. It was one of the final two interactive titles on Netflix, removed the same day as Bandersnatch, exactly five years after its premiere.
